Some T206 cards were only printed in the 150 series. Aside from the Honus Wagner rarity, nine other cards were only produced in the 150 series and dropped from production prior to the 350 series issue. The nine cards are Mordecai Brown (throwing, Cubs on shirt), George Browne (Cubs), Burch (batting), Donlin (fielding), Evers (blue background), Reulbach (glove shows), Pattee, Pelty (horizontal), and Powers.
The T206 Honus Wagner
was pulled from production in 1909. About 50-60 exist today
with the Sweet Caporal 150 series advertisement, and 3 are known
with the Piedmont 150 series back.
Honus was an eight time National League batting champion, compiling
a lifetime average of .329. The "Flying Dutchman"
stole 722 bases in his career. He is considered the greatest
shortstop to play the game.
Some T206's were only printed in
1909 . This variation of HOF'er Mordecai ''Three Finger"
Brown only appears in the 150 Series. It is the most difficult
pose to acquire of the three in the set.
