In 1911 Tolstoi, Lenox , and Uzit issued this set of 50 military
cards. An American Tobacco Co. letter dated March 18, 1911 states
that the Uzit brand would begin packing one baseball card and
one military card in every box of five cigarettes. A Feb. 16, 1911 letter was also found with a T80 military card and T206 Ty Cobb attached stating that one military and one baseball picture could be found in each box of 10 Tolstoi cigarettes. |

While the T80 Tolstoi ad is quite common, the
Cairo Monopol and Old Mill ads are nearly impossible to find
today. The Old Mill back is especially tough with perhaps less
than 25 known cards. |
